Byggnadsteknologi (in Swedish) or Buiding Technology is a research and education division at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Chalmers Unviersity of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Byggnadsteknologi includes disciplines that are important for creating good indoor climate, energy efficient and durable buildings.

Chalmers work with building technology

The Division of Building Technology brings together knowledge from Building Physics, Building Materials and Sustainable Building. The building industry represents one of the largest and most important enterprises in the world. Costs associated with housing are the largest expenditure of an average family. One third of the Swedish energy consumption is used in residential and commercial buildings.

Both in Sweden and internationally there is a growing demand for practical, sustainable building designs that will provide a higher standard of living with minimal resource demand. These issues are dealt with at the three research groups at Building Technology: Building Physics, Building Material and Sustainable Building.

Chalmers have joined Norwegian Public Road Administration (NPRA), in one of Europes biggest investment to infrastructure.
